Wireless waiter calling systems for restaurants

A guest presses the button on the table and the waiter knows immediately, wherever they are in the restaurant. No hovering, no raised hands, no guest waiting to catch someone's eye.

  • No app or internet required
  • Once-off equipment purchase

Guests should not have to compete for attention

When a guest has to wave, call out or wait for someone to pass, service feels slower and floor staff spend time checking tables that need nothing. BellMe gives both sides a quieter, clearer signal.

What it changes on the floor

Faster service

Guests are attended to when they want something, instead of waiting for a waiter to pass.

Fewer interruptions

Waiters stop circling tables to check. They go where they are actually needed.

Table numbers, not guesswork

A wristwatch handles up to 200 call points; a display panel up to 256. Both show which table called.

Quieter rooms

No shouting across the floor or waving. The alert goes to the waiter, not to the room.

Works during load shedding

The buttons and wristwatch receivers run on batteries, and the radio link needs no internet. Only the Display Panel receiver needs power, and it can run from a UPS.

Once-off cost

You buy the equipment once. There is no monthly subscription or per-table licence.

How it works in a restaurant

  1. 01

    A button on each table

A small call button sits on the table or is mounted at the booth. Each one is numbered so the alert identifies the table.

  2. 02

    The guest presses once

No app to download, no QR code to scan and nothing for the guest to learn.

  3. 03

    The waiter is alerted

The waiter's wristwatch shows the table number, or a display panel at the pass shows it for the floor manager.

  4. 04

    The call is cleared

Once the waiter reaches the table, the call is cleared at a cancel button.

How the system works

Table to waiter solution. The BellMe waiter calling system has a range of 100 - 150 meters, depending on the surroundings, and can be extended with a signal repeater.

Need a new order or drink? Press a button

Should the table need something from the waiter in terms of ordering or commenting, they press “Call”.

Need the bill?

If the table simply wants to let the waiter know that they are ready to receive their bill, they press “Bill”.

Changed your mind?

The “Cancel” can be pressed if the table has changed their mind and no longer need the assistance of the waiter.

Notification

The waiter will receive the alert instantly via a wristwatch that they wear on their wrist or on a lanyard. The watch will indicate which table number has pressed for assistance and also which service type they require between “Call” and “Bill”.

Or a display screen

Alternatively or additionally, you can also have a Display Panel mounted in the area where waiters will always be able to view it.

Receiver options and button for restaurants

Most restaurants use wristwatches for floor staff, with a display panel at the pass or managers office. If response time tracking is needed, the W900 software and B-811 Smart Gateway can be added.

Your BellMe setup in three steps

  1. 01

Tell us where help is needed

Share the number of call points, the rooms or areas to cover and how your staff or caregivers work.

  2. 02

    Choose your configuration

BellMe helps you choose buttons and receivers and prepares a quotation. Where coverage needs checking, an on-site inspection and test confirms the repeater requirement.

  3. 03

    Put the system to work

Position the call points and receivers for your setting, and make sure the people responding know where each call comes from and how to clear it.

Questions before choosing your system

How do I know if I need a signal repeater?

You will start needing signal repeaters when the distance between the calling point and the receiver reaches around 250 m in line of sight. The surroundings and construction of the property affect this, so the only accurate way to confirm is a site inspection and test.

What wiring does the system need?

The buttons are wireless and run on batteries. Each display panel, LED light and signal repeater needs a power source. We recommend dedicated plug points in the ceiling so they are not unplugged by mistake. Display panels and LED lights are supplied with 12 V power cables with a 2-pin plug, and the B-Q4 signal repeater with a 9V1A supply. We recommend running them through a UPS.

What warranty do BellMe products carry?

Single Key Call buttons carry 5 years while other Call buttons and panels, LED lights carry 2 years. Wristwatches and signal repeaters carry 1 year.

Is BellMe a rental or a once-off purchase?

All BellMe products are a once-off purchase. There are no rental contracts.

Quote a waiter calling system

Tell us how many tables you have and how many waiters need receivers. We will quote according to your requirements.

“Our primary reason for buying this system was for use by frail-care residents to alert nursing staff. We are very happy with the reliability, range of signal and ease of use. It's definitely a good product and an excellent way to alert staff to any arising situation. We were very happy with BellMe's excellent sales and after sales service received.”

“BellMe is a wonderful product. Having parents in their late 80s or 90s is scary for any child. My father recently broke his shoulder and without the use of his right arm he found himself stuck in a couple of situations and was calling for help for over 30 minutes. Thank goodness I came across the BellMe website. I was quickly able to purchase a device for my 89 year old mother and 92 year old father. I can rest easy knowing that all they need to do is press the button on their device and their care giver is instantly notified that they need help. The good news is that BellMe is very reasonably priced though I would gladly have paid more for the peace of mind that having my parents equipped with a BellMe device has brought me.”
