Calling systems for spas and treatment rooms

A spa sells calm. A wireless call button keeps it that way: a client can call a therapist without raising their voice, and a therapist can call for assistance without leaving the room.

Where the buttons go in a spa

Treatment rooms

A button beside the bed so a client can call the therapist, or the therapist can call for a colleague or fresh linen.

Relaxation lounges

Call points at each lounger so guests can request refreshments without getting up.

Wet areas, saunas and steam rooms

The buttons are 100% waterproof, so they can be mounted in showers and wet rooms where a guest may need help.

Changing rooms

An assistance point where staff are not present.

Reception

A display panel shows which room called, so the desk can direct the nearest therapist.

Therapists on the floor

A wristwatch that vibrates rather than rings keeps the alert silent for the guest.

Quiet by design

The B-650 wristwatch beeps and/or vibrates and shows the calling point, so staff can be alerted without any sound in the treatment area. Where a louder alert is useful — a back-of-house corridor, for example — the B-700 LED light flashes and beeps until the call is cleared.

Receiver options and buttons for spas

Most spas use wristwatches for therapists on the floor, with a display panel at reception so the desk can see which room called. If response time tracking is needed, the W900 software and B-811 Smart Gateway can be added.

Display panel

B-99G

Wall-mounted panel at reception or the back-of-house corridor, with a rolling display, adjustable volume and six ringtone options.

Capacity
Up to 256 buttons. These can be a combination of call and cancel buttons, or just call buttons.
Best for
A reception desk where the team can see which room called.
Limitations
Shows short numerical or letter-and-number call codes. 3 digits only, where the 1st digit can be an alphabet letter between "A" - "F".

Wristwatch receiver

B-650

Worn on the wrist or a lanyard, it gives an audible and vibrating alert and displays the calling code.

Capacity
Up to 200 buttons.
Best for
A therapist moving between treatment rooms who needs a silent, vibrating alert.
Limitations
The alert reaches only the person wearing it, so a display panel is still useful where the whole team needs to see outstanding calls.
BellMe B-700 wireless LED Over-Door Light with a frosted white light diffuser

LED Light

B-700

Mounts above the door and flashes red when a client or therapist presses a button — with an alarm, or silently where noise must be kept down.

Capacity
Up to 99 Call Buttons can be programmed to one light.
Best for
A treatment room or wet room door where staff need to see which room called.
Limitations
It shows a call only — a Call Button is needed to raise it, and a Cancel Button clears the alert. It runs on the supplied DC12V power supply.
BellMe B-A1-WL wireless single key call button with a red call pad

Waterproof button

B-A1-WL

One large soft-rubber button, 100% waterproof, mounted on any flat surface.

Capacity
Each button can be programmed to an unlimited number of receivers.

A treatment room, shower or wet room where a guest may need help.
Limitations
It raises a call only — a wristwatch or display panel is needed to receive it. It runs on one A23 battery.

Your BellMe setup in three steps

  1. 01

Tell us where help is needed

Share the number of call points, the rooms or areas to cover and how your staff or caregivers work.

  2. 02

    Choose your configuration

BellMe helps you choose buttons and receivers and prepares a quotation. Where coverage needs checking, an on-site inspection and test confirms the repeater requirement.

  3. 03

    Put the system to work

Position the call points and receivers for your setting, and make sure the people responding know where each call comes from and how to clear it.

Questions before choosing your system

How do I know if I need a signal repeater?

You will start needing signal repeaters when the distance between the calling point and the receiver reaches around 250 m in line of sight. The surroundings and construction of the property affect this, so the only accurate way to confirm is a site inspection and test.

What wiring does the system need?

The buttons are wireless and run on batteries. Each display panel, LED light and signal repeater needs a power source. We recommend dedicated plug points in the ceiling so they are not unplugged by mistake. Display panels and LED lights are supplied with 12 V power cables with a 2-pin plug, and the B-Q4 signal repeater with a 9V1A supply. We recommend running them through a UPS.

What warranty do BellMe products carry?

Single Key Call buttons carry 5 years while other Call buttons and panels, LED lights carry 2 years. Wristwatches and signal repeaters carry 1 year.

Is BellMe a rental or a once-off purchase?

All BellMe products are a once-off purchase. There are no rental contracts.

“Our primary reason for buying this system was for use by frail-care residents to alert nursing staff. We are very happy with the reliability, range of signal and ease of use. It's definitely a good product and an excellent way to alert staff to any arising situation. We were very happy with BellMe's excellent sales and after sales service received.”

“BellMe is a wonderful product. Having parents in their late 80s or 90s is scary for any child. My father recently broke his shoulder and without the use of his right arm he found himself stuck in a couple of situations and was calling for help for over 30 minutes. Thank goodness I came across the BellMe website. I was quickly able to purchase a device for my 89 year old mother and 92 year old father. I can rest easy knowing that all they need to do is press the button on their device and their care giver is instantly notified that they need help. The good news is that BellMe is very reasonably priced though I would gladly have paid more for the peace of mind that having my parents equipped with a BellMe device has brought me.”
