Wireless calling systems for hotels

A hotel runs on being available without being intrusive. A wireless call point lets a guest or a staff member summon service exactly where it is needed, and the alert reaches the right person rather than the whole floor.

Where hotels use call points

Guest rooms and suites

A call button in the room reaches reception or the floor attendant, with the room number shown on the display panel.

Restaurant, bar and poolside

Table and lounger call points so guests are served without having to find someone.

Conference rooms

A discreet button so a delegate can call service without interrupting the session.

Housekeeping and porters

Staff-side call points that signal a wristwatch, so a request reaches the person already nearby.

Guest bathrooms and accessible rooms

100% waterproof buttons, including a pull-cord unit reachable from the floor, for accessible rooms.

Reception

A display panel shows which point is calling; a wristwatch covers staff who are away from the desk.

Why it suits a hotel building

  • No cabling. Older and heritage hotel buildings are expensive to rewire. The buttons are wireless and battery-powered.
  • No internet dependency. The system runs on 433.92 MHz radio frequency, so guest Wi-Fi problems and connectivity outages do not affect it.
  • Scale. One display panel handles up to 256 call points; a wristwatch up to 200. Signal repeaters extend the range across floors.
  • Once-off purchase. No monthly fee per room.

Receiver options and buttons for hotels

Most facilities use wristwatches for floor staff, with a display panel at reception. If response time tracking is needed, the W900 software and B-811 Smart Gateway can be added.

Your BellMe setup in three steps

  1. 01

Tell us where help is needed

Share the number of call points, the rooms or areas to cover and how your staff or caregivers work.

  2. 02

    Choose your configuration

BellMe helps you choose buttons and receivers and prepares a quotation. Where coverage needs checking, an on-site inspection and test confirms the repeater requirement.

  3. 03

    Put the system to work

Position the call points and receivers for your setting, and make sure the people responding know where each call comes from and how to clear it.

Questions before choosing your system

How do I know if I need a signal repeater?

You will start needing signal repeaters when the distance between the calling point and the receiver reaches around 250 m in line of sight. The surroundings and construction of the property affect this, so the only accurate way to confirm is a site inspection and test.

What wiring does the system need?

The buttons are wireless and run on batteries. Each display panel, LED light and signal repeater needs a power source. We recommend dedicated plug points in the ceiling so they are not unplugged by mistake. Display panels and LED lights are supplied with 12 V power cables with a 2-pin plug, and the B-Q4 signal repeater with a 9V1A supply. We recommend running them through a UPS.

What warranty do BellMe products carry?

Single Key Call buttons carry 5 years while other Call buttons and panels, LED lights carry 2 years. Wristwatches and signal repeaters carry 1 year.

Is BellMe a rental or a once-off purchase?

All BellMe products are a once-off purchase. There are no rental contracts.

“Our primary reason for buying this system was for use by frail-care residents to alert nursing staff. We are very happy with the reliability, range of signal and ease of use. It's definitely a good product and an excellent way to alert staff to any arising situation. We were very happy with BellMe's excellent sales and after sales service received.”

“BellMe is a wonderful product. Having parents in their late 80s or 90s is scary for any child. My father recently broke his shoulder and without the use of his right arm he found himself stuck in a couple of situations and was calling for help for over 30 minutes. Thank goodness I came across the BellMe website. I was quickly able to purchase a device for my 89 year old mother and 92 year old father. I can rest easy knowing that all they need to do is press the button on their device and their care giver is instantly notified that they need help. The good news is that BellMe is very reasonably priced though I would gladly have paid more for the peace of mind that having my parents equipped with a BellMe device has brought me.”
